It is thought that sauropods such as Brachiosaurus had a second nerve centre of some kind, perhaps used to control the hind legs of the colossal creature. This second "brain" was larger than the brain in the head and was actually an enlargement in the spinal cord in the hip area containing fatty tissue and nerves.
